We believe in a Constitutional Government ~ We believe in a Smaller, Less Intrusive Government

~We believe in a Fiscally Responsible Government

By their Words, you will Know Them

When a Constitutionalist  runs for a political office, they are described by the Communists as “Not serious candidates”. Rosetta Bailey, a self-described Constitutionalist, is running for a seat on the City of St. Augustine Beach Commission. Interestingly enough, the opinion editor, Jim Sutton, of the St. Augustine Record, echoed in their endorsement editorial the phrase, “Not a serious candidate”. You will note that this publication uses the word Communist. We no longer accept the “Politically Correct” terms, liberal or progressive.

We read reports about the establishment media being in the tank for the Clinton candidacy, and it is also extended to the Democratic Party. In the race in St. Augustine Beach, we see the local media following the Communist line to even nonpartisan races. The only ingredient is whether the candidate supports the Constitution or not.

We notice that of the 551 words of the Record’s editorial, 106 words describe the problems at the beach, 369 words make the case for endorsement of Maggie Kostka, which we wholeheartedly agree with, and rest of the 76 words dismiss Rosetta Bailey.

The record’s position regarding Rosetta Bailey is no surprise. Rosetta Bailey is prepared to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States in all the decisions that she would make. The leadership of both political parties and certainly the print media has no interest in the Constitution. In fact, it is a threat to where they want to take the Country. Consequently, any candidate who makes reference to the Constitution is not a serious candidate.

The Record correctly describes the current Beach Commission as having a circus atmosphere. The Record is right about  Rosetta Bailey being the Ringmaster, although they meant to demean her. The truth is, the Ringmaster coordinates and is in charge. The Constitution would be her foundation and she would resist selling out the interests of the City of St. Augustine Beach to the federal government. So she would, indeed, be an excellent Ringmaster when they get rid of the clowns that are in there now.

Mrs. Bailey would demand of her fellow Commissioners that they observe the Constitution in the decisions and deliberative processes. Political signs would not be banned in the middle of an election in a clear violation of the First Amendment. Free speech would prevail in the public areas within St. Augustine Beach. The bullying tactics of Mayor O’Brien, using the police and City employees to harass supporters of candidates who stand in opposition would not be tolerated. Rosetta Bailey would not obtain injunctions against people who differed with her. And she wouldn’t try to curb public comments at Commission meetings. She would not ignore the public’s input.

People who appreciate the blessings of liberty should have no problem voting for Rosetta Bailey. Only those with the collective mindset, and the totalitarianism that follows, can appreciate Mayor O’Brien’s bullying tactics.

The Country is at a crossroads, and so is St. Augustine Beach. The issues are very similar. We either live in freedom and liberty, or suffocate with tyranny..

Town Criers Trump Bill Clinton

On November 5, 2016, a group of approximately 200 people waited in the parking lot in front of the Office of the Supervisor of Elections in Putnam County, Florida. The assembly appeared to be a well orchestrated group of Hillary Clinton supporters. Many of the participants wore color-coordinated T-shirts supporting Democratic candidates. It was not a spontaneous outpouring. They were awaiting the arrival of a Clinton campaign bus and the appearance of William Clinton. Mr. Clinton’s campaign bus arrived in the late afternoon in the City of Palatka. Palatka is a community where blacks are the majority and it is a local Democratic stronghold. One would think that a much greater crowd would have been present. It was a very poor turnout. The TCCR reporter had just left an earlier event that took place in the historic district of St. Augustine, Florida. St. Augustine is about 30 miles East of Palatka and as the site of an Anti-Hillary event. The enthusiastic response to the “Hillary for Prison” demonstration was a sharp contrast to the Clinton event.

Town Crier’s Anti-Hillary Campaign Eclipses Bill Clinton’s Event

Earlier in the day, the Town Criers conducted their last Anti-Hillary campaign of the 2016 election cycle, in the historic district of St. Augustine, Florida. The Town Criers are a committee of the St. Augustine Tea Party and have been engaging the public, on St George Street, with political issues since 2011.

During the afternoon of November 5th, the Town Criers estimate that they were seen by at least 10,000 people; several thousand enthusiastically responded to their “Hillary for Prison” campaign. It was a big day for the Town Criers. It should be noted that while the signage was anti-Hillary, the Town Criers carried no signs promoting, Donald Trump. The Tea Party has a policy of not endorsing political candidates. “To be so favorably received on our last day of the election campaign is indeed gratifying. But to eclipse the former president with both, the numbers engaged and the enthusiasm, well, that’s just an extra bonus. Bill Clinton stood before the faithful; the Town Criers stood in an open arena. Bill Clinton was only solidifying his base; the Town Criers had the opportunity to engage the undecided. The vast majority of the public greeted today, want Hillary indicted, prosecuted and placed in jail… not in the White House,” Lance Thate Chairman of the SATP said.

The Communist Left Tries to Hijack Town Crier’s Message

The woman in the striped dress pictured here and above, made an attempt to disrupt the Town Crier activities. For about five minutes. She stood in front of the Town Criers and screamed, “Vote for Hillary, Vote for Hillary, Vote for Hillary…” This is not the first time that the Town Criers have experienced this kind of screaming technique; it has happened before. “But the result has always ended in failure for the screamer because the public comes to our defense,” a Town Crier volunteer explained. Screaming is a technique to discourage free speech and the public sees through the charade.

What happened in this situation was a large group of people formed, taking  pictures and reacting with the Tea Party volunteers as the woman continued her rant. Eventually she saw that she was aiding the Town Criers, rather than disrupting them. At which point, she gave up and departed abruptly.

Much later, as the Town Criers disengaged by marching up St. George Street to their vehicles, the public that encountered them favored them with their support and their respect. “What a way to end the 2016 campaign,” a Town Crier said with humility.
